Day Nine, Morning: Alert

To all my concerned friends (and my mother) and their funny, frantic messages: the highway I'm going to be on, I-5, is mudslide-free, so you all can relax.  Thanks so much--your concern is overwhelming.

It can only be expressed through use of an emoticon:   :o)
